Seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable / Cash Applications Specialist to support daily cash posting and reconciliation activities. This is a part-time contract opportunity with the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent role based on performance and business needs. This role is ideal for a college student, recent graduate, or accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in accounts receivable and cash application functions within a fast-paced business environment. Afternoon availability is preferred to support collaboration with teams in Nevada and other time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply and post customer payments accurately and timely into accounting systems
• Perform daily cash application and account reconciliation activities
• Update customer accounts and maintain accurate payment records
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash
• Assist with accounts receivable reporting and documentation
• Communicate with internal teams regarding payment status and account updates
• Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications, Payment Posting, or Reconciliation preferred
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with high-volume payment processing
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities efficiently
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
