Job Title: Phlebotomist (Laboratory Services)

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Mid Shift - 4x10 Hours (2:00 PM - 1:00 AM)

Schedule Type: Non-Block Schedule
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have strong venipuncture skills, excellent patient interaction abilities, and experience working in a clinical laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages
• Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling
• Process and transport specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during procedures
• Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate results
• Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation
• Float to other units or affiliated facilities as required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience
• Active CPT I Certification (State of California)
• BLS Certification (AHA required)
• Experience with Epic/Beaker preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Additional Details

• First-time travelers will be considered (subject to screening)
• Floating may be required to nearby affiliated facilities
• Local candidates are accepted
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with application
• Guaranteed hours with potential for one call-off per two-week pay period
