MiTek is seeking a motivated and experienced Software Engineer tohelp buildandevolveflagshipproductionsoftware used by customers around the globeto design real residential structures.In this role, you willwork on a mature,high-impact3D BIM structural modelingand engineeringplatform wheresoftwaredecisions affectreal-world design, engineering calculations,and construction outcomes.This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys production software, complex systems, and the challenge of applying math, geometry, and engineering logic to solve practical customer problems

This role will work a hybrid schedule based out of our office in Denver, CO.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and debug 3D CADand structuralengineering desktop software using modern development tools

• Build scalable features, components, and modules across the platform

• Diagnoseandresolvecomplex technical issues to improve performance, stability, and scalability

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that solutions are efficient, consistent, and fulfill business needs

• Partner with software leaders and architects to evolve and maintain best-in-class architecture practices

• Work with customers to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes,and improveproduct reliability and customerexperience

• Efforts require refactoring existing logic, feasibility analysis, and designing and implementing new enhancements

• Create software that expands the types of users who use the platform by utilizing third party integrations, web service/site software development, and desktop software development

• Producetechnical documentation for system architecture and design

• Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and requirements discussions

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

• 5+ years of professional software development experience

• Professional experience with C# and .NET

• Proven experience developing and maintaining large features

• Ability to navigate and troubleshoot large, complex codebases

• Strong debugging and root-cause problem-solving skills

• Solid understanding of data structures and object-oriented design principles

• Experience contributing to technical design discussions and communicating with teammates

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence outcomes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with C++

• Experience building software that involvesscientificcalculations, simulation, CAD, modeling,geometry,and/or other mathintensive domains

• Familiarity with Agile development practices

• Experience with Azure DevOps
