Role Description This on-site Senior Platform Engineer contract role is based in Denver, CO. The Senior Platform Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across applications and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and refining platform components, implementing automation for deployments and monitoring, and collaborating with software engineers to improve integration between infrastructure and applications. The role also involves diagnosing complex system issues, optimizing database and storage solutions, and contributing to architectural decisions and technical standards. The engineer will partner with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement, operational excellence, and effective incident response.
Qualifications
Role Description This on-site Senior Platform Engineer contract role is based in Denver, CO. The Senior Platform Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across applications and services. Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Infrastructure skills, including experience with cloud platforms, networking, systems administration, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Candidates should possess solid Software Development and Programming skills, including proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and experience building scalable services.
- Candidates should possess robust Troubleshooting skills, with the ability to debug complex distributed systems, analyze logs and metrics, and drive root-cause analysis.
- Candidates should possess practical Databases skills, including familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, performance tuning, and data reliability best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing) is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
- Several years of experience in platform, DevOps, or site reliability engineering roles, preferably in high-availability environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
