Sr. Operations Manager

Job ID: 3184273 | Amazon.com Services LLC Our Sr. Operations Manager is responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives. The Sr. Operations Manager oversees all aspects of operations or functions at the site. Additional responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations, and developing leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center. Responsibilities Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and the FC to meet and exceed the business plan. Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations. Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable for their performance and that of their departments. Leverage Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas and integrating them into improvement plans for the functional area. Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among the network. Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Sr. Operations Managers) to secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in the area, and provide needed support for other staff initiatives. Physical Demands Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each. Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head. Walk frequently within the FC and around the area; facilities span over a quarter mile in length. Stand and/or walk an average of 5 miles daily. Work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, or not air‑conditioned. Access all areas of the building safely (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways). Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred. Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons. Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations. Interest in long‑term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation. Salary Range: USA, CA, Ontario – 135,000.00 to 182,700.00 USD annually. Compensation also includes sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
