This is a place where you can stay way ahead as you do your life's best work.Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepares equipment to efficiently collect blood productsPerforms venipuncture using vacutainer, syringe and butterfly techniques; capillary punctures using heel and finger stick techniques on patients. Identifies and labels specimensConducts designated laboratory testingInstructs patients on urine collection procedures. Allocates urine specimensCleans and sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work areaInventories supplies and places ordersEnters laboratory data into computer systemMaintains patient confidentialityData enters is accurate and timelyMonitors biohazard wasteEnsures preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment and monitorsResponsed timely to abnormal and panic valuesMaintains knowledge of all routine container and minimum volumes required for specimen collectionPerforms all other related duties as assignedYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required QualificationsHigh school graduate or GED equivalentNational certification Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist1+ years of experience in operating a variety of laboratory instrumentation1+years of experience in maintaining all materials for collection1+ years of experience in preparing written reports concerning the results of laboratory tests and input data into computer systemIntermediate computer literacyIntermediate knowledge of laboratory techniques to perform routine blood and urine testsIntermediate knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing to perform quality control checksBasic medical terminologyPreferred QualificationsBilingual in SpanishPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
