Patient Transport Aide – Day ShiftGeneva General Hospital is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Transport Aide to join our team!If you enjoy helping others, staying active throughout the day, and making a difference in the patient experience, this is a great opportunity to begin or grow your career in healthcare!Pay Range: $17.76–$19.04 per hourDay Shift: 11:00 AM–7:00 PMWhat You'll DoAs a Transport Aide, you will play an important role in supporting patients and clinical teams throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include:Safely transporting patients throughout the hospital using wheelchairs, beds, and stretchersAssisting with the transportation of medically complex patients alongside nursing personnelPerforming EKG tracings following appropriate proceduresRetrieving and delivering medical records, equipment, supplies, and specimensCleaning and redistributing wheelchairs, stretchers, and other transport equipmentResponding promptly to patient transport requests and communicating delays when necessaryAssisting patients and visitors by providing friendly, professional customer service and helping them locate hospital departmentsSupporting nursing and patient care teams with a variety of direct and indirect patient care activitiesResponding to emergency alerts and assisting as neededThis position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, working as part of a team, and providing exceptional service to patients and families.What We're Looking ForRequired:High school diploma or equivalentCurrent BLS certification through the RQI system during clinical orientationCPI certification within six months of hireAbility to successfully complete EKG tracing, medical record retrieval, and patient one-to-one training within the first monthPreferred:Previous customer service experience, especially in a healthcare settingThe ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a professional and welcoming demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively with others.Why Join Geneva General Hospital?This is a meaningful opportunity to become part of a healthcare team dedicated to providing safe, compassionate care.
