The Medical Assistant Urgent Care is cross-trained to perform a blend of administrative and clinical duties while working closely with providers, the office supervisor, and the practice manager. This role delivers professional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• 36 hours a week
• Monday through Friday 8:00am-8:00pm, Saturdays/Sundays 8:00am-6:00pm.

• Deliver direct patient care in outpatient clinics-take vitals and histories, document visits, give vaccines and meds, draw blood, run tests, and help with medication reconciliation under supervision.
• Receive and document requests from internal and external customers, and respond professionally by phone, electronic message, or in person.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Program Medical Assisting Required
• In lieu of program, 5 years of medical assistant experience Required
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
• For an MA, you must have one of the following certifications within 6 months of hire: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Allied Health or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Registry of Medical Assistants or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Performance Specialists (NPS)
