Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality inpatient nursing care to post-operative spine and orthopedic patients in a fast-paced medical/surgical unit. Deliver compassionate patient support and ensure adherence to clinical protocols, especially around COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Monitor vital signs and manage post-operative symptoms for spine and orthopedic patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about post-op care and recovery protocols.
• Comply with all safety and infection control standards, including vaccination policies.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current, unrestricted Colorado Registered Nurse license.
• Possess recent experience working with spine or orthopedic post-op patients.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Med/Surg nursing practices.
• Be ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certified.
• Capable of working holidays with no time-off requests permitted.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a 1:5 patient ratio.
