Maintenance Assistant

35 hours per week - Monday to Friday 10:00AM to 5:00PM The Facilities Technician is responsible for facility service requests, building maintenance, emergency repairs, and vehicle fleet maintenance. Must exercise reasonable and professional discretion and independent judgment with respect to the timely, efficient, proper, and cost-effective maintenance of BCLs facilities. Essential Functions

- Responsible for routine, preventative and emergency maintenance as directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Prioritize assigned work orders to complete in a timely manner.
- Immediately report assessments and safety concerns to Facilities Manager.
- Annual NBHA housing review and meetings with housing, including ongoing liaison with housing
- Respond to emergency and after hours calls if needed.
- Pick up and/or transport supplies and equipment as needed.
- Travel between agency locations.
- Access and ready agency email account at least weekly.
- Assists with regular maintenance and emergencies regarding agency vehicles.
- Maintain a professional, safe, and clean work environment
- Comply with OSHA Safety policies and regulations.
- Physical activities include but not limited to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, etc.
- Exerting in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally.
- Subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
- The worker is subject to hazards such as moving parts, moving vehicles, etc.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US drivers license for three years.
- 2 years of relevant work experience required.
- Ability to properly and safely use hand tools, and/or instruments and cleaning agents.
- Ability to follow direction and work both independently and as a team.
- Use of your personal vehicle is required. Mileage is reimbursed.
- Must be able to successfully pass a CORI check, Drug Test, and a Driving Record Check.
