Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer

As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be instrumental in developing innovative mechanical solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical design principles and advanced CAD tools to create and optimize complex mechanical systems and components that support Honeywell's cutting-edge technologies.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Richardson, TX location on an hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the design and development of advanced mechanical products that drive Honeywell's success in the High-Technology Solutions sector, contributing to solutions that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability for our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the design and development of advanced mechanical systems and components from concept through production. Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and ensure seamless integration with other subsystems. Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to validate product performance and reliability. Utilize advanced CAD software to create detailed mechanical designs and documentation. Will be mentored by senior engineers to foster career growth. Collaborate with Honeywell suppliers to create producible designs. Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics. 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in advanced mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, methodologies, and materials science. Proficiency in advanced CAD software such as Pro/Engineer/Creo and experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools. Experience in designing complex mechanical assemblies and components with a focus on reliability and manufacturability.

WE VALUE Advanced degrees such as a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related fields. Experience in the high-technology/sensor design sectors. Strong problem-solving skills, innovative mindset, and ability to lead design projects. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product validation techniques. Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary global teams. Posting Date: September 24th, 2026. The annual base salary range for this position is $106,000 - $132,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
