Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair packaging equipment. You will work with various machines including bottle and can fillers, seamers, labelers, date coders, depalletizers, and conveyors. You will also perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on packaging line components.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on components like bearings, belts, gearboxes, and servo systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis on process/product nonconformances, such as loose seams, fill volume issues, and line jams.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams for equipment checks and overhauls.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs for packaging assets.
• Work safely around conveyors, rotating machinery, high voltage (480V), confined spaces, and elevated work platforms.
• Operate forklifts and aerial lift equipment safely.

Essential Skills

• Experience in high-speed manufacturing in food & beverage, brewery, soda, dairy, or similar facility.
• Hands-on packaging line maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting fillers, seamers, labelers, packers, or palletizers.
• Knowledge of sensors, photo-eyes, limit switches, VFDs, PLC I/O, and HMI alarms.
• Understanding of mechanical power transmission, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Awareness of NFPA 70E electrical safety principles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis.

This is a Permanent position based out of Allentown, PA.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Allentown,PA.
