Nurse Manager, Cancer Care

POSITION SUMMARY The Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who functions as a patient care provider, supervisor and clinical resource for staff. She/he implements management and clinical activities. Coordinates clinical activities to ensure that the nursing process is operationalized utilizing Standards of Care/Standards of Practice. Primary responsibilities include ensuring the provision of patient care consistent with department/hospital and regulatory standards. JOB REQUIREMENTS Full Time EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program (BSN) required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED Work requires current Massachusetts RN license. Certification in related specialty areas may also be required. Chemotherapy Certificate required. OCN (Oncology) Certificate preferred (must be obtained within 90 days of employment). EXPERIENCE A minimum of three to five years clinical experience is required. Charge nurse or supervisory experience is preferred. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Analytical abilities necessary to organize, supervise and evaluate the work of others, to develop, interpret, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures and standards. Work requires effective communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written multilingual skill (beyond that of English) in languages appropriate to the patient populations served by the Hospital. Proficiency with standard software programs used in healthcare (such as MS Word, Outlook) and web browsers, patient registration systems and electronic medical record. COMPENSATION RANGE Compensation Range: $122,000.00 - $177,000.00. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. It includes benefits (medical, dental, vision, pharmacy), discretionary annual bonuses and merit increases, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) savings matches, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family well‑being. Note: This range is based on Boston‑area data, and is subject to modification based on geographic location.
