Activity Therapist - PRN

Activity Therapist

Are you an activity or recreational therapist passionate about working with patients in an inpatient setting? Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is looking for you! Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team by providing therapeutic activity services to adult and adolescent patients under the hospital's care for emotional or substance abuse problems.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, occupational therapy) preferred.
• Certification or registration preferred.
• Experience: One year of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: CPI/CPR certification required.
• Other: Assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills; knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment; flexibility; time management and organization skills; teaching or training skills helpful; understanding of, or ability to understand DSM-5 methodology; able to meet deadlines.
