Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-8 students in a welcoming school community near New Haven, CT. This contract role begins September 16, 2026, and runs through January 31, 2027, covering a maternity leave for an SLP with a CCC credential. You’ll work in one convenient location, providing essential services to a caseload of around 40 students with moderate to profound communication deficits. Your expertise with AAC devices will be a key asset in helping these students thrive.

Qualifications & Credentials:

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• Familiarity with school-based service delivery models
• Experience managing K-8 caseloads preferred
• Strong understanding of assistive and augmentative communication (AAC) devices
• Able to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Position Details:

• Contract assignment: September 16, 2026 – January 31, 2027
• Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
• K-8 student population, approximately 40 students on caseload
• Single campus placement, minimizing travel between sites

Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and implement therapeutic interventions for students with communication challenges
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress
• Provide guidance and training to school staff on the use of AAC devices
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and legal standards
