Automation Technician (2nd shift)

Job Type Full Time, Non-Exempt Purpose of Position Automation Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and support production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Repair and maintain automation equipment to keep production running and prevent issues from worsening. Inspect and identify any issues per preventive maintenance program. Repair faulty equipment, including VFDs, PLCs, belts, motors, and safety doors. Troubleshoot electrical wiring and read schematics using specialized tools. Monitor automation systems through computer systems. Perform general maintenance tasks such as changing bearings, belts, and motors. Identify and report potential safety hazards to avoid injuries. Be on call as needed to address emergency issues. Handle unresolved situations, frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events with high motivation and sense of urgency. Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Certificate in PLCs and/or robotics operation. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques. Physically capable and available to work overtime, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings. Effective problem‑solving abilities. Excellent organization and prioritization skills. Robot experience preferred.
