This position is responsible for coordinating quality assurance activities, monitoring clinical processes, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. The coordinator collaborates closely with clinical teams, regulatory bodies, and administrative staff to implement and maintain quality management systems. By analyzing data and identifying trends, the role supports evidence-based decision-making and risk mitigation strategies. Ultimately, the Clinical Quality Coordinator ensures that healthcare services meet or exceed established regulatory and organizational standards, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical quality assurance or healthcare quality management.Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement processes.Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting tools relevant to clinical quality monitoring.Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively coordinate with diverse healthcare teams.Preferred QualificationsCertification in healthcare quality (e.g., CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality).Experience working within hospital or clinical settings with direct exposure to patient care processes.Advanced knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems and quality management software.Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.Master's degree in a relevant healthcare or quality management discipline.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and oversee clinical quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.Collect, analyze, and report clinical data to identify areas for improvement and support quality initiatives.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices.Facilitate training and education sessions for clinical staff on quality standards and regulatory requirements.Conduct audits and inspections to monitor adherence to clinical protocols and recommend corrective actions as needed.Support preparation for external accreditation and regulatory inspections by maintaining thorough documentation.Assist in the investigation and resolution of clinical quality issues, including adverse events and patient complaints.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality improvement methodologies, and industry trends.SkillsThe Clinical Quality Coordinator utilizes analytical skills daily to interpret clinical data and identify trends that impact patient care quality. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with clinical staff, conducting training, and reporting findings to leadership. Organizational skills enable the coordinator to manage multiple quality initiatives, audits, and documentation requirements efficiently. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality standards guides the development and implementation of effective policies and procedures. Additionally, proficiency with data management and quality improvement tools supports continuous monitoring and enhancement of clinical processes.
