Job Description:

A Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit whose primary focus is the critically ill Neuro patient who requires a high degree of specialized nursing and medical care. Patient diagnosis includes traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke and other critical neurologic pathologies. A brand new state-of-the-art, 12 bed ICU.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing and medical care to critically ill Neuro patients.
• Manage patient diagnosis including traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies.

Requirements:

• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Two (2) years RN with ICU acute care experience
• Demonstrates strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills and ability to remain current in knowledge of critical care
• Telemetry Experience Required
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• NIHSS
