Mechanical Engineer II

DescriptionJob Summary:The Mechanical Engineer II is responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components and has a significant impact on product innovation, cost, schedule, and feature sets. The position requires the application of engineering principles to the design of sellable and internal company products.Duties and Responsibilities:Component and simple assembly designProduct development activities ranging from conceptual development, prototyping, and design validation to manufacturing and existing product support; individually and collaborativelyCollaboration with engineers of various disciplines to develop products with electromechanical and mechanical contentMechanical drafting and technical document authoringConduct tests, design manufacturing fixtures, support senior colleaguesMay include involvement in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of products as required to accomplish company goalsProvide guidance to fellow team membersPerform other job-related duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field3+ years of experience working in a similar roleExperience designing components and simple assemblies using CAD softwareKnowledge of product development processes including prototyping, validation, and manufacturing supportExperience creating mechanical drawings and technical documentationFamiliarity with testing, fixture design, and validation activitiesHands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, or troubleshooting of mechanical systemsAbility to support senior engineers on complex projects and contribute to cross-functional development effortsBenefitsThe starting pay range for this position is $97,500 - $110,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.In addition to a comprehensive package of health benefits that include company contributions, RAVE Aerospace offers a variety of additional benefits and perks to enhance your work-life balance experience including but not limited to:Discretionary bonus programFuture financial security with a 401(k) program with company matchPaid time off covering vacations, personal time off and sick days, capped off by an exciting year-end holiday shutdownEmbraced flexibility with our alternative work schedule (9/80) to navigate your workweeks with every other Friday offJob SummaryID: 013BD9EA9BDepartment: Hardware EngineeringType: full time
