Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a Full‑Time Registered Nurse to join our Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) team, working a 5x8 schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. As a key member of our Physician Operations team, you’ll deliver safe, high‑quality care to individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders. This role supports medication‑assisted treatment services, collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, and helps ensure positive patient outcomes. It includes medication management, patient monitoring, and supporting patient safety and well‑being in a fast‑paced clinical setting. Experience or knowledge in addiction treatment and pharmacology is essential, along with sound clinical judgment and the ability to respond effectively to complex patient needs. The ideal candidate is a skilled, collaborative nurse who thrives in complex systems, works independently, and is passionate about making a difference. Previous experience with addiction treatment and mental health is highly desirable. Salary for this role: $36.56 – $44.00 hourly, paid bi‑weekly. Bilingual language differential pay: $3,000 per calendar year ($115.38 bi‑weekly), prorated based on hire date and full‑time equivalency. Eligibility requires demonstrated proficiency. Essential Functions Support the clinical functions of the medical team (completing all medical orders and communicating vital patient care information to physician/prescriber). Perform nursing interventions for which an RN has been trained to do. Observe, identify, and monitor patient condition, including changes in symptoms, and relate same to appropriate members of the treatment team. Administer injections and medications. Provide patient education for medication(s). Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate. Effectively respond to patient needs and problems; provide timely responses to messages and other requests. Coordinate prescription refills according to organization policy. Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients. Provide assistance in crisis intervention, as needed. In a timely manner, accurately and completely chart interventions, lab results, medications dispensed, and all activities related to patient interactions according to the organization's procedures. Complete required education and training in a timely manner. Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner. Qualifications and Requirements Associate’s in Nursing required. A bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. Colorado Registered Nurse Licensure Requirement: Hold an active Colorado RN license before providing client services. Out‑of‑state multi‑state or compact licenses are not sufficient. Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain one within 30 days of hire. Preferred: one year of relevant clinical experience. Ability to administer medications and injections. Demonstrated ability in nursing assessment, including evaluation and interpretation of medical and behavioral health information. Knowledge and familiarity of nursing care management concepts and psychotropic medications. Advanced written and oral communication, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills; efficient time management with multitasking ability. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and collaborate with other internal and external teams. Ability to learn and operate various software programs including Word, Excel, and web‑based systems. Required Vaccination and TB Test All employees are required to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and present a negative TB test result before their first day of work.
