Infant Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience - Grand Rapids Beltline, MI

Pay: $17-$21 per hour, based on experience and credentials

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Grand Rapids Beltline is seeking a nurturing and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to create a warm, responsive classroom for our youngest learners.

Our Infant Teachers provide more than exceptional care. Through consistent routines, sensory exploration, movement, and meaningful interactions, you'll help babies feel safe and secure while supporting important developmental milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging Infant classroom
• Provide attentive, responsive care throughout the day
• Support individualized feeding, diapering, naps, and daily routines
• Create age-appropriate sensory, movement, language, and early learning experiences
• Support cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional development
• Observe developmental progress and maintain required classroom documentation
• Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and nurturing classroom environment
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous professional infant, daycare, preschool, or childcare experience strongly preferred
• Experience working specifically with infants preferred
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plus
• Comfortable with feeding, diapering, safe sleep, and individualized infant routines
• Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented
• Ability to meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
