Expeditor (Contract Opportunity)

Location: The Woodlands, TX
Pay: Up to $ 30.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Position Type: Contract

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a reputable organization in The Woodlands to identify an experienced Expeditor for an immediate contract opportunity. This role is a critical addition to a busy Purchasing team and will focus on ensuring materials, purchase orders, and supplier deliveries stay on schedule to support business operations.

The ideal candidate will have prior procurement or purchasing experience, Oracle ERP experience, and a background working in manufacturing and/or oil & gas environments. We're seeking someone who can quickly step in, manage competing priorities, and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor purchase orders and supplier commitments to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Track order status and proactively communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding overdue deliveries, schedule changes, and shipment tracking.
• Expedite critical purchases to support production schedules and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to maintain workflow continuity.
• Investigate and resolve supplier, shipping, receiving, and inventory-related issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement and shipment data within Oracle ERP.
• Prepare reports and provide regular status updates on open orders and supplier performance.
• Support the purchasing team with administrative and operational procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or expediting.
• Experience working in a manufacturing and/or oil & gas environment .
• Previous procurement or purchasing experience.
• Experience using Oracle ERP .
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM in The Woodlands, TX.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience supporting high-volume purchasing operations.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.

Pay Details: $26.00 to $29.00 per hour
