Associate Designer - Socks

The company is recognized for high standards in design, quality, and timely delivery to retail partners and brands. Teams collaborate closely across design, production, and operations to bring fashion-forward products to market efficiently.
Please note: this is an on-site position in Midtown Manhattan where we work in office 5 days/week!
Responsibilities
- Work with Design Director on all facets of the product design cycle for Socks
- Ability to sketch accurate design flats on Adobe Illustrator
- Develop and design new ideas and create visually pleasing design CADS
- Create accurate and detailed tech packs.
- Daily review and follow up with factories on garment life cycle, from lab dips & strike offs to Pre-Production and TOP samples.
- Proactive market and trend research to always be on top of market trends.
- Ability to adhere to calendar to ensure deadlines are met
- Track and manage sample status
- Assist with records and samples organized
- Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams including production, and sales.
Qualifications
- Degree in Fashion Design
- 1+ years experience in Sock / Hosiery Design
- Knowledge of sock/hosiery design and construction
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Excel
- Attention to detail, sense of urgency, willingness to learn, team-player
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred Experience working with Off-Price customers.

Target compensation for this role starts at $60k/yr dependent on experience
