Senior Mechanical EngineerShambaugh & Son is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Mechanical Process Group. This position will design mechanical systems for the Food Process industry.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings or computer-generated reports.Assisting drafters in developing the structural design of products.Using drafting tools or computer-assisted design software.Conferring with other professionals to implement operating procedures.Resolving product malfunctions or providing technical recommendations.Recommending design modifications to eliminate product malfunctions.Conducting research that tests or analyzes the performance of equipment.Investigating product difficulties to diagnose faulty operation.Testing models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.10+ years of experience.Licensed Professional Engineer is a plus.Self-motivated and committed to learn.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Autodesk AutoCAD proficiency is a plus.Specific interest in a career in designing Utility-HVAC-Plumbing systems using the Design-Build approach.Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as requiredEqual Opportunity EmployerAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
