Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Projected Start: August 10, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients in a 16-bed emergency department with 1 trauma bay and 4 fast-track beds.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
• Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — American Heart Association only.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification — American Heart Association only.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification — American Heart Association only.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience with high-acuity patients including stroke, STEMI, MVC trauma, psychiatric, geriatric, and pediatric populations.
• Familiarity with cath lab protocols and stroke/STEMI response workflows.
