Role Overview

Stardom Employment Consultants is seeking an experienced Controller for a respected client organization in the Fresno area. This position will lead accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and provide strategic financial insight to support business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and financial reporting requirements.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and key performance indicators.
• Lead, mentor, and support accounting staff while promoting efficiency and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management or Controller-level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• CPA certification or experience in a multi-location or growing organization is preferred.
