Sr Health and Safety Specialist / Process Safety Management Reporting to the Local Area Director, this role is based in Watford City, North Dakota. The specialist will support company goals related to all elements of PSM, emergency response, industrial hygiene, regulatory compliance, safety auditing, contractor safety, and safety training across crude, refined products, and gas assets. The position will develop consistency across the company in the application of PSM procedures and policies, provide customer service to Field Safety and Operations personnel, manage safety programs, develop SOPs, lead incident investigations, and review incident reports for consistency and corrective actions. Field Support Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist Operations Safety Representatives as needed. Perform audits as requested and support the corporate Safety Audit program. Perform training as required. Assist with accident and incident investigations. Research and provide technical information on federal, state and local regulations. Work on committees to develop and maintain company PSM SOPs in compliance with regulations. Research industry standards and best practices and make recommendations. Collaborate with managers and field specialists to build consistency in procedure application. Assist PSM Manager and local operations teams in fulfilling PSM regulations and policy. Provide oversight of workflow processes for PSM compliance at local gas plants, covering Wild Basin and Bear Den operations. Assist with the MOC process: identify change, initiate eMOC, review hazard assessments, and ensure completion of action items. Aid in evaluating project status, deliverables, and initiating new projects based on customer needs, PHA recommendations, and audit results. Required Skills and Qualifications Six or more years of petroleum or petrochemical safety experience in progressive roles. Bachelor’s degree in industrial safety or related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating knowledge and leadership. Client‑driven solution provider. Computer proficiency with office applications and risk‑management software. Mentor and develop other safety personnel. Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization. Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. Ability to learn company computer‑based programs. Experience in developing safety and compliance procedures and documents. Strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as CSP, ASP, or equivalent. Working Conditions Primarily office‑based; requires stationary work 50% of the time. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Occasional visits to industrial or manufacturing sites, potentially exposing the employee to chemicals, extreme temperatures, loud machinery, and requiring appropriate personal protective equipment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Energy Transfer
