Job Title Controller Location Bluffton, SC Salary $140,000 - $160,000 Overview Our client is a well-established owner, developer, and operator of a large‑scale mixed‑use residential and recreational community in the Southeast. Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Manage multi‑entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities Partner with operational leaders across development, construction, real‑estate sales, and marketing Coordinate annual audits and tax compliance activities Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes Assist with system improvements and reporting enhancements Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Must‑Have Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 8+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong background in land or real estate development accounting Experience managing multi‑entity accounting environments Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls Nice to Have Skills CPA strongly preferred Prior experience in a Controller position Public accounting background Experience with large‑scale development projects ($20M+) Why Consider This Opportunity?
