Nurse Practitioner
We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive patient care in an occupational and primary care-focused clinical environment. This role includes evaluating and treating illnesses and injuries, supporting preventive health initiatives, and managing acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based clinical practices. The provider will work closely with physicians, clinical team members, and organizational stakeholders while delivering patient-centered care and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-employment examinations and annual wellness physicals.
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with illnesses and injuries.
- Assess and manage acute and chronic medical conditions using established evidence-based protocols.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans in accordance with supervising physician protocols.
- Conduct health screenings and participate in disease prevention initiatives.
- Order, review, and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions when clinically appropriate.
- Provide patient education, health coaching, and advocacy to encourage improved health outcomes.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary professionals and make appropriate referrals.
- Review relevant clinical cases with medical leadership and designated stakeholders.
- Provide oversight for employee respirator and hearing-testing activities performed by clinic personnel.
- Perform age-appropriate assessments and clinical interventions.
- Maintain high ethical and professional standards while practicing within the established scope of practice.
- Document patient information accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record.
- Support other clinical functions as needed to maintain efficient clinic operations.
- Perform additional duties appropriate to the position.
Required Qualifications:
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner with an active and unrestricted license.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or urgent care.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with patients, senior stakeholders, clinical leadership, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Strong interpersonal and patient-service skills.
- Ability to follow established written clinical and operational procedures.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and manage varied clinical responsibilities.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements associated with clinical practice, including sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DEA registration.
