Job Title: Plater

Job Description

Perform barrel and rack plating on required parts utilizing proper plating techniques according to quality control standards. In addition, clean brazed parts for soldering.

Pay: $25 - $35/hr

Shift: Second (2nd) shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Control zinc plating processing and manage hazardous chemicals.
• Run and clean high pressure wastewater filter systems.
• Change the filters of zinc and water rinse tanks and monitor the acid pH level of zinc tanks.
• Add chemicals to zinc tanks as required.
• Operate all related vibrating and deburring equipment.
• Load, unload, dip and hang parts and plate parts into manual rack tanks.
• Check plating thickness and color.
• Make up new plating solutions as necessary.
• Clean high pressure ET filter system, evaporator, and pump wastewater out of system.
• Brush and wash each filter, prime DE system, and adjust wastewater tank pH level.
• Record plating logs, graphs, and all daily production reports.
• Maintain accurate chemical inventory and usage.
• Ensure good quality and a clean and safe work area at all times.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to manage and control hazardous chemicals.
• Experience with high pressure wastewater filter systems.
• Proficiency in maintaining chemical inventory and usage records.

This position involves working in a combination of manufacturing and office environments with regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and odors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockland, MA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
