Respiratory Therapist - Day ShiftThe Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by administering intensive respiratory care and facilitating patient transport as medically prescribed, all within the scope of their professional license and with minimal supervision. This role includes evaluating patients and recommending treatment plans while educating them about procedures, tests, and equipment used in their care.ResponsibilitiesConduct physician-prescribed treatments and operate various ventilatory equipment, both invasive and non-invasive.Administer oxygen, aerosol therapies, and nebulizations to patients as per orders.Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal).Monitor oximetry and capnography; review patients' chest x-rays to evaluate for further interventions.Execute pulmonary function studies and assist with procedures related to respiratory care.Perform tracheostomy care and maintain adequate drainage via PleurX catheter or similar devices.Conduct arterial punctures and assess ventilation efficiency; keep accurate records of patient responses to treatments.Engage in communication with attending and pulmonary physicians regarding therapy efficiency.Maintain proper documentation and respiratory therapy charging.Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.ScheduleThis position offers a Day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts.Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureActive Respiratory Therapist license.Experience in providing respiratory care and managing ventilatory equipment.Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
