This perioperative nursing role supports the operating room team, circulating during procedures and protecting patient safety throughout the perioperative phase. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $534-$562 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 16-hour days Start date: 08/31/2026 Facility type: Short Term Acute Care Hospital Responsibilities Circulate in the operating room during surgical procedures and assist surgeons and the anesthesiology team Maintain aseptic technique and ensure patient safety throughout perioperative care Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and ensuring monitors and equipment are ready; participate in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care planning and assessment Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials and manage instrument/equipment flow Access and document pertinent patient information in the medical record (EPIC) and communicate with the team as needed Support life safety, emergency preparedness, and environment of care standards; participate in turnover and post-procedure activities as required, including tissue handling documentation Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in California (state of practice) – Required ADN or equivalent nursing degree; BSN preferred Minimum 1 year of recent operating room experience – Required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications – Required EPIC experience – Required OR experience in Orthopedic, Neuro, and Trauma cases – Required CNOR certification – Preferred Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Fast credentialing to accelerate onboarding Dedicated support throughout the assignment Nationwide travel opportunities Guaranteed hours included in the contract Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
