Essential Duties:

• Support lead preschool teacher in fulfilling expectations and assist with classroom management
• Encourage student participation and foster a positive learning environment
• Maintain safe environment 
• Interact and engage with children and students
• Motivate children with positive redirection

Qualifications:

• Experience with children/teens in a formal/informal setting
• High School Diploma for ECE/Preschool
• Adaptable - Reliable - Flexible
• Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for connecting with students

Requirements:

1. Transcripts / Diploma
2. Personal / Professional References
3. Clear Screening Processes
4. DHS Documents
5. Registry Certificate
6. Current TB Clearance (within 1 year)
7. Previous experience in educational settings is a plus - not required

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Frequently sit, bend, grasp light or fine manipulation, talk and hear
• Frequently stand and/or walk, write by hand
• Stands for periods outside in the sun to monitor children for recess, PE, or play-time
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull objects that weigh up to 60 pounds
• Occasionally twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, work above the shoulder, sit on the floor
• Comply with safety policies and protocols activated by the school
• Climb up/down stairs and hills

Job Types: Part-time / Temporary

Starting Pay: $20.50 per hour

Job Sites: Island Wide (west Oahu and greater Honolulu area)
