We're hiring a Director of Dining Services to oversee menu planning and food preparation across our community. This role reports to the Executive Director and recruits, hires, trains, and supervises the dining team.

What You'll Do

• Design, plan, and oversee the fine dining experience, including menus and presentation
• Take weekly inventory of dining services supplies and food and place orders
• Ensure high standards of quality food production, nutrition, portion control, and sanitation
• Consult with the Dietitian on menu planning and therapeutic diets
• Promote and participate in staff, resident, and family education
• Develop departmental budget, forecasts, and staffing plans; manage variances with the Executive Director
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and review the work of dining staff, including performance appraisals and disciplinary action

 

What You'll Need

• Culinary degree or equivalent training required
• Certificate in food service supervision and ServSafe certification required
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a high-volume, high-end food service environment
• Strong leadership, motivational, and organizational skills

 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, turn, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and perform fine manipulation throughout the workday
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
• Normal or corrected vision and hearing, including color recognition

 

Working Environment

• Work is performed in a well-lit, well-ventilated kitchen, with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, odors, water, and noise
• Occasional outdoor exposure to weather and temperature changes
• Flexibility to work beyond normal hours, on weekends, or in other roles as needed
