Registered Nurse - PreOp

Job Summary:


Seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Pre-Operative care to join a high-volume unit. This role involves providing pre-op holding and Phase 2 recovery services in a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive pre-op assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Administer medications, including blood transfusions and anesthesia blocks.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment such as Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG, Doppler, and bladder scanners.
• Document patient care accurately within the Meditech EMR system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient flow and safety.
• Respond promptly to on-call requests within 30 minutes.

Qualifications:

• Hold current RN licensure with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Phase 2 recovery procedures.
• Possess current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Have pre-op experience or the ability to assist pre-op staff effectively.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
