This is a full time, exempt position with a weekday schedule with variable hours (including some evening requirements), and will include call. The ED Supervisor will work in Waterville & Augusta at both the Thayer and Alfond Center for Health campuses.**The Work:*** Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Responds to staff requests for assistance with providing or managing direct patient care in complex or difficult matters.* Determines, coordinates, and monitors the flow of patients between units to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet service level objectives.* Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Coordinates patient care services with staff, physicians, and other departments.* Responds to complaints/conflicts and manages through established channels. Makes administrative decisions in the absence of the Department Manager/Director.**You Have:*** Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required* BSN, preferred* Clinical expertise in ED nursing or Intensive Care nursing, with at least 5 years as staff nurse with supervisory/charge nurse experience, preferred* Excellent leadership, effective communication and autonomous critical thinking skills* Ablility to deal with complex management problems and communicate with staff & physicians in a collaborative fashion* Ability to build rapport by working along-side staff as needed**You Get:*** Generous Earned Time Program* Student Loan Reimbursement potential for RNs* Continuing Education Opportunities/Tuition Reimbursement* Growth opportunities within the organization* Dedication to employee safety, wellness and work/life balanceThe salary range shown reflects the base salary for this position.
