Primary Location: Rapid City, SD, USA Department: RCH Guest Hospitality Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20 Starting Pay Rate Range: $16.10 - $18.51 per hour (determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience of the applicant) Job Summary: Valet will park and retrieve customer vehicles. May require assisting customers in and out of vehicles. Must convey enthusiasm and a cheerful attitude at all times while providing prompt and courteous delivery of valet services. Must be able to adapt to changing situations and respond appropriately to perform in a team role to provide quality service to customers. Retrieve vehicles when requested and return them to the patient’s most convenient location. Operate guest vehicles in a safe manner, making sure the vehicle is locked/secure after parking it in the designated area. Offer assistance to guests as appropriate, which may include physically assisting guests into or from their vehicles. Alert Security to any potential crimes or acts of vandalism that may occur on Hospital property. Provide assistance to employees, visitors and staff as required by departmental and Hospital policies, and as assigned by Manager. Assist in assuring patient drop‑off areas of the hospital are clear by not allowing long‑term parking for any reason. Maintain the entrance (indoors and outdoors) of Rapid City Hospital. Maintain valet log in order to keep track of the number and location of parked vehicles. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Certification: Driver's License – State. Preferred Education: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies. Experience: 1+ years of Transmission (Auto/Manual) Experience. Scheduling Requirements Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department. Physical Requirements Heavy work – exerting up to 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or up to 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or up to 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects.
