Adjunct Instructor – Clinton Campus State Fair Community College provides relevant and innovative learning experiences that successfully prepare students for college transfer, career development, and lifelong learning. Responsibilities The person in this position will be responsible for duties related to teaching as an adjunct faculty. Internet instruction may be required. Qualifications have a working knowledge of computers as a medium to manage and improve instruction be able to interact with a broad range of people both on and off campus in a positive manner show evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills possess an understanding of the range of needs that community college students represent possess commitment to the philosophy and mission of State Fair Community College be willing to improve instruction through professional development including pedagogy and technology. Associate of Applied Science instructors: Bachelor's degree (associate degree and/or industry certification applicants considered); three years related industry experience; demonstrated record of teaching excellence preferred; demonstrated student centeredness. Associate of Arts instructors: Master's degree in the field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline; demonstrated record of teaching excellence; demonstrated student centeredness. Preference given to those with previous community college experience and those who are in-state residents. Compensation This position pays $675 per credit hour.
