Job Details Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Setting: Acute Med/Surg Overflow Unit Location: Wheeling, West Virginia Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Start Date: 08/29/2026 End Date: 11/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts; weekends as scheduled Shift Duration: 12 hours Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,030 Charting System: EPIC Patient Ratio: 1:6/7 Openings: 1 Job Requirements Active RN license Current BLS certification NIHSS certification Ability to care for a mixed-acuity adult patient population Comfort working with telemetry and intermittent BiPAP patients Experience titrating heparin based on aPTT results preferred Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a busy hospital setting Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality bedside care as a Med/Surg RN to patients with CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, and AKI Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor response to treatment Manage telemetry patients and collaborate with monitor techs as needed Titrate heparin drips according to protocol and lab results Work closely with charge nurses, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff to support patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC Float as needed based on census and unit needs Deliver compassionate care while helping maintain a safe and efficient inpatient unit flow Apply now to join this Med/Surg travel nursing opportunity in Wheeling, WV, and take the next step in your RN career.
