GCP IAM Lead / Manager (VP)

We are seeking an experienced GCP IAM Lead / Manager to own identity and access management design patterns and delivery for onboarding waves in a large enterprise environment. This role focuses on implementing secure-by-default IAM architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while leading engineering teams and ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards.

Note: This is a sourcing-only request for an RFP with the Banking client. The project team requires profiles to demonstrate available talent with the required skills, experience, and Texas location. WBS / PPI / Flowdown details will be provided once the request is converted to sold and funded.

Key Responsibilities

• Define IAM reference architectures, including RBAC models, service account strategies, and privileged access patterns.
• Configure and manage identity management systems supporting authentication and authorization.
• Establish Terraform standards for IAM, including module patterns, binding strategies, and drift controls.
• Lead architecture and design reviews, approve exceptions, and collaborate with security and compliance teams.
• Implement and maintain IAM policies and procedures aligned with project and enterprise security requirements.
• Manage delivery across multiple onboarding initiatives, including prioritization, timelines, and dependencies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to identity management systems and processes.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with best practices and standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation for IAM configurations, operational runbooks, and processes.
• Define operational processes including access recertification inputs, metrics, and incident response playbooks.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management.
• Strong leadership experience with GCP IAM in enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to lead multi-team delivery and governance of IAM standards and exceptions.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for IAM management.
• Strong understanding of secure-by-design identity architectures and compliance frameworks.

GCP Python Skill Level Required: Expert (10+ years experience)
