Travel RN – Medical ICU (MICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical ICU setting, with assignments based on acuity and individual skill set
• Operate and monitor advanced ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
• Assist with and support bedside procedures including central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Float to other units as needed per facility policy
• Adhere to facility dress code standards including royal blue scrubs, no artificial nails, and covered body art

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas — temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2+ years of MICU or MSICU experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic health record system
• CCRN certification preferred
