STEM PROGRAM MANAGER A (C)

The School of STEM at Edmonds College is seeking a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Program Manager position. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to support and grow several key programs within the STEM Division at Edmonds College. As a key point of contact for students and campus stakeholders, the STEM program manager will work collaboratively with STEM Division staff and faculty to support, recruit, and retain students in targeted STEM programs, including Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, and Health Care. As a primary point of contact for students and stakeholders, the Program Manager will provide coordinated support services, track and maintain relevant program data, help develop outreach strategies, and contribute to initiatives that promote equitable access and completion in key STEM programs. The role also serves as a liaison to employers, alumni, and community partners, helping to build and sustain relationships that enhance student opportunities and align programs with academic and workforce needs. The STEM program manager will support the college's mission, promote program excellence, help develop partnerships, and foster an inclusive learning environment that supports student success. This position requires strong organizational and project management skills, relationship‑building abilities, a can‑do attitude, and a commitment to student‑centered work. This is a full‑time, classified position reporting to the Dean of the STEM Division.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM field. At least 1 year of demonstrated program management experience, including successful program advising, development, outreach, event coordination, budgeting, and/or tracking of program outcomes, preferably in higher education. Note: mentoring may be substituted for advising if applicable. Demonstrated experience working successfully with multiple departments/agencies to meet program goals and/or work collaboratively with community members. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally, and using social media with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to use office technologies such as G Suite or Microsoft Office to maintain records, communicate with stakeholders, and support office productivity. Enthusiasm for STEM education and commitment to lifelong learning.PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is typically performed in an office setting and onsite/in‑person. The ability to sit at a desk/computer station, bend, stoop, walk, and generally move around the office to consult with others, work within a busy environment, and remain focused on tasks. Inventory management involves lifting and moving objects weighing up to 30 lbs. Excellent communication skills are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend both written and spoken English, as well as communicate effectively with people for whom English may not be their native language. This also includes the ability to produce written documents and narrated, recorded videos.WORK SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Occasional evening and weekend events may require adjustments to the regular work schedule.COMPENSATION
Salary range 48. Beginning salary is $50,328 - $58,380 annually, with progressive increases to $58,380, plus a full state benefits package, which includes tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options, and more. Vacation and leave package includes 12 sick days per year, 11 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, 3 personal leave days, and 14 vacation days per year (incremental increases to 24 vacation days per year).CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
