Infrastructure Solutions Architect 3

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Solutions Architect to provide technical leadership for a large-scale healthcare enterprise technology solution. This role will oversee solution architecture, technical governance, system integration, cloud adoption, security, and modernization initiatives.

The architect will collaborate with business stakeholders, program leadership, vendors, system integrators, developers, business analysts, cybersecurity teams, and other technical teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, regulatory requirements, interoperability standards, and modernization goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for large-scale enterprise technology implementations.

• Lead architectural reviews and assess solution designs for alignment with enterprise architecture standards and technical policies.

• Evaluate integration requirements across multiple enterprise business and technology modules.

• Design and guide system interfaces, APIs, data exchanges, integration patterns, security models, and cloud solutions .

• Develop architectural artifacts including logical and physical architecture diagrams, data-flow documentation, integration patterns, and technical roadmaps.

• Guide enterprise integration, service-oriented architecture, modular system design, and cloud adoption initiatives.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure solutions align with applicable security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

• Evaluate databases, ETL processes, data management approaches, and system interoperability requirements.

• Participate in architecture governance, change-request reviews, and technical decision-making.

• Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, including implementation, integration, modernization, and maintenance.

• Work closely with vendors, system integrators, business analysts, developers, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or related technical architecture roles.

• 10+ years of experience with architectural modeling, data management concepts, and security best practices .

• 10+ years of experience working with vendors, system integrators, and multidisciplinary technical teams.

• 10+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or equivalent .

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Strong experience explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, system integration, and technical governance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing or supporting large-scale healthcare or government IT systems .

• Experience with Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES), Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), or similar healthcare enterprise platforms .

• Strong understanding of MITA framework and federal interoperability requirements.

• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, X12, FHIR, HTML5 .

• Knowledge of Node.js, Java, Angular, React, and Python .

• Experience with relational databases, ETL tools, data warehousing, and SharePoint.

• Knowledge of legacy programming technologies and modernization.

• Strong understanding of enterprise integration, SOA, APIs, cloud computing, ETL, and modular system design .

• Experience in state government, public-sector consulting, or large enterprise architecture environments.

• 8+ years of experience with Medicaid-related enterprise systems is highly desirable.
