Unit Information

Location: Arlington, TX

Unit: 3 Tower (622)

Number of Beds: 30

Staffing Details

Day Shift:

• 1 Charge Nurse
• 4-5 Registered Nurses (if unit census supports)
• 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• 1 Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)
• 1-3 Sitters (depending on patient population)

Night Shift:

• 1 Charge Nurse
• 4-5 Registered Nurses (if unit census is full)
• 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• 1-3 Sitters (depending on patient population)

Patient Care Information

Patient Ratios: 6:1

Type of Equipment Used: Hoyer lifts, Sara steady, bladder scanners

EHR System: Meditech

On-Call and Floating Requirements

No On-Call Requirement

Floating Requirement: Based on the needs of the hospital

Qualifications and Skill Sets

Required Skills:

• BLS Certification
• Experience in Med-Surg or Acute Care Settings

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience within HCA facilities
• Additional Med-Surg or Acute Care experience

Typical Procedures Performed

• Post-surgical care including Cholecystectomy
• Cystoscopy with stent placement
• Pain management
• Management of CIWA patients
