Sales & Use Tax Analyst I [Remote]

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare transaction tax returns for timely monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.
- Collect and organize accounting and tax data to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist with tax compliance by researching applicable tax laws and regulations, providing guidance, and maintaining up-to-date tax information.
- Support sales tax audits by preparing required documentation and resolving discrepancies.
- Reconcile tax accounts, identify discrepancies, and ensure proper reporting.
- Utilize Vertex software to assist with tax calculations and filings.
- Maintain accurate records of tax filings and audit-related documentation.
- Provide data gathering support for monthly compliance tasks.

- Sales tax audits and reconciliation of tax accounts
- Vertex tax software
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual filings
- Tax calculations and filings.
Education/Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in tax compliance or related field.
- Bachelor's degree required (preference for Business or Accounting).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Ability to research and interpret tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with sales tax audits and reconciliation of tax accounts is a plus.
- Experience with Vertex tax software is a plus.
