Make a meaningful impact by supporting students in a vibrant educational setting as a ParaEducator for a contract position with immediate openings. There are three full-time (30 hours per week) roles available, working with dedicated teams to enrich the learning experiences of special day class and elementary students.
You will be part of a supportive environment focused on helping children in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade reach their fullest potential. Two roles are available as classroom aides, where you’ll assist teachers in self-contained settings and provide essential support, including assisting with toileting needs for younger students. The third role involves providing individualized support as a 1:1 aide for an elementary student, ensuring that each day is filled with learning, encouragement, and care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or with young children strongly preferred
- Compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for working with students of varied abilities
- Comfortable assisting with toileting and personal care for young learners
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow direction and maintain a positive, professional attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with teachers to implement instructional activities and maintain an inclusive classroom environment
- Provide one-on-one or group support to students, fostering effective learning and growth
- Assist students with personal care tasks as needed
- Help manage classroom routines and support behavioral plans
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
