Make a meaningful impact this school year as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting students from PreK through 4th grade. This contract assignment covers a 12-week maternity leave at a welcoming elementary school in the scenic region near Odenville, AL. While full-time availability is ideal, part-time candidates are welcome to apply, allowing for flexibility to fit your schedule.
What you’ll bring:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology state license and current educator certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Expertise working with caseloads of up to 50 students, supporting a range of communication and language needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with educators, families, and allied professionals
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans (IEPs)
What you’ll do:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy for students in PreK through 4th grade
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to support student success
- Develop and carry out effective treatment plans that address students' unique communication needs
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, tracking student goals and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school staff to ensure comprehensive support
- Engage parents and caregivers with regular updates on student achievements and strategies
