Mission and Culture Deep commitment to our mission and prioritization of patient care Strong communication from the leadership team Advocacy and support from administration Team-member wellness initiatives to combat job-stress and burnout Transformative healthcare that makes a difference in communities where you live and work Cooperative and supportive team culture within the organization Nursing Responsibilities Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients, including: Administer medications Perform medical intakes and assess if patient is fit for incarceration, as needed Respond to sick call requests and follow up with the medical provider when needed Check and/or change medical dressings as required by the medical provider Perform 14-day physicals Manage chronic care Provide patient education on health concerns Respond to medical emergencies, including life-saving measures and taking charge and giving direction in an emergency Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology, including drug reactions/overdose, formulary/non-formulary medications, and knowledge of medication costs Provide insight and direction to medically trained personnel, as needed Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations Location Floating to various correctional facilities throughout Southern Indiana. Candidate must live in the state of Indiana or a neighboring state. Shift Openings Availability for dayshift, nightshift, and weekends. Travel accommodations provided with potential for company vehicle.
