Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Requires critical thinking skills. Requires decisive judgment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Description: This position is for a 225-bed specialty care hospital. The facility offers services in heart and vascular care, cancer treatment, brain and spine health, rehabilitation, behavioral health, digestive health, bariatric medicine and weight management, women's health, and pediatrics. It includes the region's premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services. The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients, aged 18 to 125. It operates with a patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1. Equipment used includes telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps. Electronic Health Records are managed using Cerner. Preference is given to candidates with experience in a medical-surgical unit. Common diagnoses and treatments are part of the daily responsibilities. Dress code requires scrub color to be Galaxy Blue, with Navy also acceptable. Fingernails should be clean and kept to a reasonable length in compliance with the hand hygiene policy. Tattoos considered offensive must be covered, and excessive jewelry is not permitted.
