Job Description Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers, engaging them via multiple channels—including in‑person, by appointment, and virtually—to provide the best possible counsel while adopting a digital‑first mindset. They assess and attend to customers’ banking needs, obtain and process account information, and demonstrate and educate clients on deposit and loan products. Consultants recommend solutions that meet each customer’s goals and needs while maintaining high levels of service and accuracy. They build and nurture relationships through proactive outreach, ask questions to understand financial needs, and stay informed about consumer and business banking products, including digital offerings. They welcome new accounts, process basic transactions, submit credit applications, and collaborate with branch partners to deliver a seamless experience. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. Applicants must complete the required registration process, including background and credit checks. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Typically has a minimum of four to five years of job‑related retail banking experience, or a combination of experience and training. Preferred Skills and Experience Proven ability to build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow‑up. Effective communication and engagement with clients. Knowledge of bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems. Knowledge of all retail products and services. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Experience participating in sales campaigns or promotions. Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self‑service technologies. Ability to uncover customer needs with a digital‑first mindset. Advanced proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer needs both reactively and proactively. Experience in the financial services industry preferred. Location Expectation This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days.
